EaterWrap: Recession Spending and Late Night Dining

[Receipts in question; Photos courtesy Eater and Guest of a Guest]
1) Southampton's Nello Summertimes isn't taking this recession lightly, cutting the price on vodka soda drinks from $27 to $21. While that still puts its version of the world's most boring cocktail at an insanely high markup, it's good to know the boycott threats of our Eater buddies have been taken seriously. [Eater via GofaG]

2) Copa Wine Bar and Tapas Restaurant has taken over the 95 School Street space in Bridgehampton, bringing in an 'industrial modern decor' to replace the country feel of its former resident. Big news with this one: Copa will serve until 3am - no small feat for a restaurant in the Hamptons, where finding late night food is harder than getting a table at Surf Lodge. [Hamptons, print only]
3) If/Because a night at Nello might require a new line of credit, head to Turtle Crossing in East Hampton tonight for Thursday Employee Night. $3 drafts, $6 frozen margaritas and $6 glasses of house wine come with free (!) snacks. Better than your normal complimentary grub, quesadillas, corn fritters and BBQ chicken wings will all be served gratis at the bar. [Dans Papers]
