Bowing Out, Napeague's Surf Shack Hits the Market for $1.695M

News from the Stretch: Surf Shack, Napeague's short-lived highway eatery is up for sale. Corcoran listed the 130 seat restaurant this week for $1.695 million, advertising that 'all equipment, furniture and [a] 3 bedroom staff apartment' are included in the price. After debuting in 2008, the Shack has been shuttered for some time now, last in a long line of restaurants to go through the space at 2095 Montauk Highway. With competition from Cyril's, Clam Bar and the Lobster Roll nearby, any future tenant has an uphill battle ahead. The listing notes that there is a 'large central bar, fireplace, outdoor dining patio, air conditioning, 2 walk-in refrigerators and ample parking' for all of your restaurant needs.
