East Hampton's Gucci Shutters While Neighboring Pop-Ups Unpop

The winter store shuffle continues with another round of East Hampton storefronts bowing out before the new year. First up, Gucci at 46 Main Street, which now sports a brown papered window and a For Rent sign. The luxury brand had been on the East End since 2006, but all traces of the store that once was are long gone. Next door, Michael Kors' new pop-up has shuttered for the winter, leaving behind signage promised a May 2010 return. A bit further down Main Street, Brooks Brothers corner shop remains open, but sports a Closing Soon poster directing customers to visit the brand's Southampton store. Neighboring pop-up Temperley London has finally shuttered as well, on track with the company's proclaimed December '09 closure last summer. And the tumbleweeds blow on...
