West Water Street (And Its Condos) To Be Saved From Watery Grave

Sag Harbor Village officials are finally addressing fears that West Water Street may start crumbling right into the harbor. A long term plan will be developed to ensure that the precarious 'waterfront embankment' can be stabilized in the wake of damaging storms in recent years. The picture seems to say it all. West Water Street is also the home of stalled development 21 Water, which finally had its building permit renewed in order to complete the 18 waterfront units (and rooftop pool). In October, the nearly finished condos were forced into a work stoppage with expired permits that resulted in $1.7 million in liens put on the property.
