Tory Burch Lists Meadow Lane Tear Down for $17.9 Million

Following word that she was 'involved' in the $45 million Westerly deal in October, the WSJ reports that designer Tory Burch has put her Southampton home on the market. The 1980 modern on the ocean is listed for $17.9 million with Sotheby's, accompanied by plans for a Daniel Romualdez beach house approved earlier this year. The new 7,100 square foot Meadow Lane home will sit on 4.5 acres, after extensive water damage from a burst pipe reportedly ruined much of the contemporary manse that currently resides on the property. In a sign of the times, Burch will be taking a bit of a loss on the deal as she bought the home from her ex-husband for $22.5 million in July 2008.

The designer will likely be moving around the corner soon enough, having gone into contract on the impressive 25-room Howard Gittis estate last fall. Reports at the time pegged Burch as the buyer of the home and a neighbor as the buyer of an adjacent parcel, with the combined deals coming to a staggering $45 million.
