Lost Ring Helps Win

The Yankees' World Series win may have been slightly aided by the honesty of Alfredo Blanco. Much to his surprise, the Springs resident stumbled upon a diamond-encrusted 1978 Yankees championship ring outside of Water Mill restaurant Mirko's on Monday, and returned it to its rightful owner, Broadway legend James M. Nederlander. Nederlander, who has a minority stake in the team, was thrilled to have the ring back after losing it on Sunday night and promised Blanco a reward for his good Yankee karma. [SH Press]
