B&B's Bumpy Road

Plans to turn Sag Harbor's former Methodist Church into a B&B are looking like a harder sell. Word is owner Dennis Suskind is looking for a buyer who will 'retain the religious impression and historic nature of the building', and is weighing the hotel proposal along with others. Though it was built in 1835, Sag Harbor officials say the village has no interest in buying the building, citing the expense of such an undertaking. One holdup in the B&B plans - its proposed size. The 15 room inn is large enough to be a 'hotel', and would require the planning board to change its zoning code before approval. [EH Star; previously]
