Historic Home Buff Spanburgh Finally Likes Something New

Southampton historic home watchdog Sally Spanburgh has surprisingly given her blessing to a new home being built. Designed by John David Rose, the shingle style mansion on Meadowmere Lane will be '[t]otally original and yet completely rooted in our local traditional vernacular style...'. Spanburgh's impressive rendering shows off the future home's cedar exterior, whose lack of white trim is something historic home lovers are apparently great proponents of. Even more shocking: a number of properties were 'merged' to create the new lot, meaning destructoporn couldn't even get in the way of this fandom. The manse is seemingly modeled after Tenacre, a 1922 home of the same style that is still standing on Ox Pasture Road.
