The Press reports that the Girls Scouts of Westhampton Beach have overcome Waldbaum's cheapness and created a mural in the windows of the vacant National's space adjacent to (and owned by) the supermarket. The proposed $400 mural was put on hold in July when Waldbaums only agreed to donate $100 for supplies and materials, leaving the Troop 759 with nothing but a vision. By late August, the project got the go-ahead, though supermarket 'officials' wouldn't say where the money came from. Oh well, have a Thin Mint and celebrate. [SH Press]
