Congratulations are in order! The Southampton Publick House has won a gold medal at this year's Great American Beer Festival in Denver. The bar and restaurant's Berlinerweisse brew came in first in the German Style Sour Ale category, competing against what we can assume are the creams of the American German Sour Ale crop. The Publick House makes the historically Berlin-based beer during alternate years due to a hefty 6-month fermentation process, so strike while the tap is open. [CurbedWire Inbox]
