Market Won't Be Kmart

Eli Zabar's Amagansett Farmers Market won't be the subject of Zoning Board hearing tomorrow after a misplaced 1975 drawing of the building's footprint was found. The meeting was cancelled as the Concerned Citizens of Amagansett no longer want to appeal to the board, saying that the architectural drawing proved that the farm stand could not be expanded, their chief concern. Similarly, the finding also helps put to rest worries that the site would be able become a 'Kmart or tire store', according to CCOA member (and veggie purveyor) Vicki Littman.
