A 1960 East Hampton Town law prohibiting neon signage in business windows is apparently being totally ignored by code enforcers, according to the Star. The paper found at least 30 in Montauk alone, highlighting the blinking, scrolling sign at Wok'n'Roll, which is 'definitely illegal'. The Town agreed to look into the matter, noting that some signs may be grandfathered in, making them nearly 50 years old. Long live neon. [EH Star]
