Previews: Long Island Restaurant Week 2009 Starts Sunday

New, 1 comment

The time has come. The 4th annual Long Island Restaurant Week swings into town for seven days starting Sunday, November 1st. Modeled after the Hamptons Restaurant Week every March, this Island-encompassing venture still has a large presence on the East End, addressing that age-old issue of off-season dining.

How It Works: All week long, participating restaurants offer a three-course prix fixe for $24.95pp all night, except Saturday, when the deal is only available until 7pm.

Superfan Perks: Love all things Restaurant Week? Dishing on Dining is offering a $200 gift certificate to new Stony Brook restaurant Mirabelle with their Biggest Long Island Restaurant Week Fan Contest. Send your story to the website by November 8th for a chance to win.

The Restaurants: A strong showing from the Hamptons, indeed, though sadly Amagansett and Sagaponack are left out of the fun. N.B. LIRW's official site has gone high-tech, offering Open Table links for all your reservation needs.
