Memory Motel owner Artie Schneider was officially denied the right to have his proposed Montauk concert series at the Lighthouse next summer. Schneider, the little promoter that could, will not give up despite the State's refusal to allow the parking lot be used for two 6,000 ticket concerts for July and August. Since last May, he's been turned away from Ecker Park and Rita Stables, and now vows to take his roster of acts elsewhere, suggesting Stony Brook Southampton or - heavens - the North Fork. [EH Star]
