We liked this house when it hit the market back in September, but we decided to feature the pug over the mantel (who we dubbed Cupcake) in a This Week in Strange, Weird & Terrible Listing Photos post instead of On the Market. Hey, we got our priorities. Often when a Hamptons house is called "European" it's a code word for "godawful tacky," but this place is pretty tasteful, pugs notwithstanding. And clearly someone else fell in love with the place as it's in contract already. Asking $3.1M in East Hampton's Northwest, the property is a generous 2.2 acres, with a 4000sf house with four bedrooms and 5.5 baths. Our advice: no deal unless the painting of Cupcake is included.
