Remember the Sagaponack house that hit the road a few weeks back? Yesterday, the good folks at Dawn House Movers in Yaphank emailed us the above photos, and this note: "The house weighed nearly 200,000 pounds and was transported down Daniels Lane, across a farm field for about 200 yards and then onto Fairfield Pond Lane until reaching a field owned by the Peconic Land Trust... Every single tire on the building needed to be driven across steel plates weighing nearly 1,000 pounds each so the extreme weight of the house didn't sink the tires into the soft mud fields."
